LJB Security Training and Consulting is the only agency in CT that specializes in all levels of Loss Prevention Training

All employees are trained in the following areas:  ( This only covers the basics. There are over 50 areas to cover)

This 8 hour course is for the person that wants to become an undercover loss prevention detective. It is designed to develop the skills and training needed to catch shoplifters, identify dishonest employees and prepare them for the next position in their career as a manager. This course would also apply to law enforcement officers that need additional training in this area of crime. This course cover topics like:

  • Methods of shoplifting
  • Surveillance techniques
  • How to make a stop
  • How to minimize liability
  • Ways employees steal
  • Loss Prevention terminology
  • Laws you need to know
  • Report writing standards
  • Testifying in court
  • Organized retail crime

The job outlook for loss prevention associates is actually very good. Factually according to O*Net OnLine. The job outlook for loss prevention specialists is influenced by the economy, as economic upturns and downturns have a strong impact on the incidence of theft in retail establishments. O*Net predicts average employment growth (between 5 and 8%) for loss prevention specialists through 2024.

And right now the economy is booming!!! So hurry up and sign up for your one-day 8-hour certification course for Loss Prevention Associate!!! Only $250 and you’re ready to work!! There are no State fees because this certification is an industry standard Certification and should be recognized by virtually all retailers. Since we are in Connecticut we are going to be concentrating on Connecticut State Statutes. See you in class!!

The training program has been taught in several formats and can be tailored to fit your business. Training is at 58 Renshaw Drive East Haven, CT 06512 or can be on site at your location.

The biggest problem we face in loss prevention security is the serious lack of education/training. Today retailers, as a last resort, are hiring off-duty and retired law enforcement . This is a serious mistake. Over 95% of all the lawsuits filed against retailers and loss prevention associates today are a result of incompetent or over-excessive security personal. Remember loss prevention security is a serious business!!!!!

We are the best at what we do!!!

The cost is $199.

De-escalation – Communication – Conversation Seminar @ LJB Security Training LLC
Sep 27 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

De-escalation – Communication – Conversation Seminar

This class is for individuals who wish to improve the way they communicate with others.

The cost is $150.

Location: 58 Renshaw Dr East Haven, Ct 06512.

Image result for casual communication and de-escalationImage result for DE-ESCALATION IN HOSPITAL

De-escalation – Communication – Conversation Seminar – The objectives of this seminar will be to teach you the unspoken rules of oral communication and make you aware of how your nonverbal communication, such as gestures, stance, eye movement, facial expressions, demeanor, inflections, and attitude communicate our true inner most thoughts so that sometimes what you are saying non verbally conflicts with what you’re saying verbally and since 90% of all communication is nonverbal we need to be aware of that so we can somewhat control our actions and behaviors to make them more in sync with our verbal communication. By learning the unspoken rules of communication you will be able to communicate more effectively enabling you to have less stress and conflict in personal relationships, foster new friendships and relationships, drum up new business and networks, be able to successfully get your point across by allowing the person you’re conversing with (conversation partner or CP) to convey their complete thought without interruption, enabling you to be able to get the same in return therefore allowing a complete unadulterated thought process on both sides to be conveyed and reaching a compromise so that you and your CP will both win important points of the conversation so that everyone walks away happy.
