Our New Article On Non-Metallic Knives

We regularly write and release informational materials for the benefit of CT security officers and others interested in security issues.

Our latest article talks about knives made of Grivory, a non-metallic material that has been used instead of metal to manufacture car parts and, recently, knives. While it’s mostly used to make handles, there are some lines of knives that use the material for blades as well.

Our article talks about the practicality of these weapons and whether they represent a threat to security officers who are manning metal detectors. While it’s easy and cheap to buy a knife that won’t show up on a detector, or a knife that can be easily modified to be invisible, there are some performance issues with these blades that make them less than an ideal choice for a fight.
