We have just completed a press release about our informational article on the security guard’s typical workplace. Unlike many occupations, a security guard may be required in a large variety of venues, at any conceivable time of the day; security guards work for the federal government, private businesses, schools, casinos, hospitals and everything in between. This means that a security officer needs to possess a range of skills including flexibility, patience, a long attention span, people skills and physical fitness.

The article relies on data from the government’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, which provides current numbers on employment, wages, work environment, workplace injuries and many other relevant aspects of work in the United States.
