Our Article on CT Armed Officer Requirements

LJB has recently published an informational article on content distribution service Ezine Articles, about CT armed guard license requirements.

A security guard is authorized to carry firearms at their workplace in the state of Connecticut only upon obtaining a special license that requires them to demonstrate proficiency and responsible handling of a gun. Our article goes into detail about the conditions for qualifying for such a license, including background checks that bar any candidates found guilty of a felony or firearm offense.

Candidates are required to undergo training at a recognized CT blue card training school, whereupon they will need to take a written exam and do a live fire demonstration.

Armed guards in CT are licensed by the State Department of Public Safety, which is the same body that issues licenses for unarmed guards as well.
